Suitable for Duramax 6.6L Diesel V8 with Allison automatic transmission

Scope of delivery:
- 36mm 12-point socket wrench
- Duramax P / U flywheel lock
- Duramax 4500/5500 flywheel lock
- Allen screw


Saves time by blocking the degree of swing on the gearbox instead of having to remove the starter to replace the water pump. On pickups 2500 and 3500, remove the spring-loaded metal inspection plate on the underside of the gearbox. The tool should slide into the opening towards the engine with the top of the tool engaging the teeth of the flywheel (see picture # 1). On 4500 and 5500 trucks, remove the rubber inspection cap on the bottom of the transmission. Insert the tool in the front of the opening to lock the flywheel into place and finger-tighten the screw to hold the tool in place (see picture # 2). Use a 36mm 12 point socket with a 3/4 "square drive to remove the vibration damper screw and retighten it during installation.
