Although the 3\/4” depth starter is usually identified as an A\/T starter this in not always the case. If you have a M\/T with a 157 tooth ring gear, it uses the 3\/4” depth starter. With OEM stock bell housings you must always have the correct matching flywheel for the bell housing. i.e. if you have a bell housing that requires a 164T, you can’t use a 157T in its place. Aftermarket bell housings, McLeod \u0026 Lakewood have a punch out for the starter that allow you to use either flywheel. Quick Time specs for the 157T only.
