This new engine doesn't sacrifice power or durability with its four-bolt main block, nodular iron crankshaft, PM steel connecting rods and cast aluminum pistons. In combination with the cast iron Vortec 64cc cylinder heads (1.94'' intake and 1.50'' exhaust valves) yielding a healthy but streetable 9.1:1 compression ratio. The camshaft is a modern dual pattern interpretation of the ´65-67 Corvette 327" cam with more exhaust lift/duration for improved combustion chamber clearance and less intake lift/duration for more cylinder pressure.
